Awesome set but could be easier to assemble
Product Option: Kids - Brown/Green
This playset is great and my kids love it. No splinters or painting again! Very sturdy and heavy duty. It came in in several boxes all in a wooden crate. Thankful to have a skid steer to move it where we wanted it on the driveway to easily take apart and haul boxes to the grass. One box was too heavy to haul to the backyard so we just moved it part by part. Kids loved hauling all the easy small parts. The boxes are labeled but the instructions were not in box 1. Opened most of the boxes to find it in box 4 I think. We had had a few good rains so the boxes were pretty soaked. Thankfully the instructions weren't ruined even though they were not in a plastic bag or anything to protect them. The instructions have labels or names for the parts but none of the parts are labeled on the actual part. I assumed you would open box 1 to find instructions in there and build box 1. Then move on to box 2 etc. Nope. Keep the stuff in each box to try to keep things organized because it gets messy quick. The roof was a little harder to put on than expected and water could get in through the top where the two roof pieces meet but some silicone there should stop that. I wish the steering wheel and binoculars could be switched. So you could put the binoculars on the otherside and steering wheel on the opposite side. They have to go where the instructions say. Would be nice to switch them since the view on the otherside of our yard is better for the binoculars and they only go on the climbing wall side. The fireman pole on the end of the monkey bars came with a bar you need to hammer into the ground… well the metal post mushroomed at the top from hammering into the ground so then the fireman pole (hole in the bottom) didn't fit in the metal post since it mushroomed and was wider than the hole. Be more careful hammering that in I suppose. Ended up turning the metal post around after the hole was made from hammering it into the ground and put the damaged side down in the ground. Then the fireman pole slide right down onto it. Overall very pleased and doable to put together. Took most of a day to put together with juggling kids and meals.

Big Stuff Swing Set Gives Big Smiles
Big Stuff Swing Set. Big imagination, big fun, and big quality come together for big playtime. This playset delivered so much more than we were expecting! This playset was provided to us by Lifetime for review. It is like having a community park playset in the comfort of our own backyard! The quality and robustness of the materials were very satisfying to see. Thick gage steel covered in a great protective coating, sturdy, thick plastic, rubber, and rope were all reassuring signs of a high-quality playset.
All of the parts were so well packaged in the 6 boxes that we were so surprised at the amount of pieces that we were pulling out. Each box was well labeled, and we especially appreciated that one of the boxes indicated that the instructions were inside. The instruction manual was so thorough in establishing symbols, build procedures, safety requirements and site requirements. Each section of the build was so well laid out that we had little to no difficulty assembling the different sections of the playset. The amount of effort and resources put into the instructions is phenomenal. Not only is the instruction manual well planned out, put together and organized, but huge efforts were put into the 3D animation software BILT. We were so impressed that the BILT app doubled as an assembly tutorial and interactive interface which allowed us to zoom in or out, rotate around any part of the build and identify the parts. This is a serious amount of effort that has gone into helping the end user successfully build this playset. Bravo and well done! If the manual, and 3D animation app wasn't good enough, if there were any more questions, the professionally produced YouTube building tutorial really helped us when we got in a pinch. The little hints, and concise way the assembler demonstrated putting together the build really helped us out in a few tough spots.
One more top-notch touch by the planners and developers at Lifetime threw in was a QR in each section of the build specific to that section. If we turned off our phone, closed the YouTube app, or whatever else happened, a quick scan of the code at the section beginning got us right where we needed to go! The fully indexed video just added to the awesome building experience. The provided tools were great. The hardware blister packs were great and detailed. During the build, the manual alone was great in helping identify the part needed. The build itself was challenging at times but the heft and stability of the playset was evident throughout the whole build. The suggested assembly time from the BILT app was 6 hours. It took us 10 hours to put together the playset from start to finish. We must say, the spare hardware really saved the day when we had trouble with one of the bolts and one of the barrel nuts.
Once finally assembled, the playset looks amazing! The playset we got is the Earthtone model. It is attractive yet the kids took to it immediately! The swings were comfortable for the kids to swing in, especially with the rubber coating around the chains. The clubhouse really took this playset to the next level! We already knew of the binoculars, ships wheel, cargo rope ladder, climbing wall, and swing which were already really great features. We had the happy surprise to see that there was an unexpected three-point swing below the club house, a chalkboard inside the club house, a fun star pattern on the inside of the roof, AND the whole floor of the club house which doubles as a little town with relief molding of roads, shops, homes, and tunnels. These added features really added to the big fun mentioned in the beginning. Already our little boys have been stuffing their pockets with all the toy cars that they can hold and have been scurrying out to imagine and play. Our five kids have already spent hours outside playing on this exceptional playset. Our kids were on the playset the moment that we finished it!
Along the build we did find some things that we would suggest to potentially improve. By far the most difficult part of the build was attaching the A-Frame Roof Tube as part of the base of the roof in the clubhouse. We really had to loosen some bolted parts elsewhere to be able to get it in. The video tipped us off that this was going to happen which we appreciated. Our older and more heavy kids noticed that the A frame that is not connected to the club house tended to be a bit wobbly once they really get swinging. We really appreciated that the whole playset doesn't require the additional difficulty of digging and pouring concrete footings, but some additional rigidity would be good. Also, we noticed that the upper climbing wall tube GQW was not fully secure to the climbing wall panels CBX on the side that was closest to GQV lower climbing wall tube. Maybe a simple CUZ self-tapping fastener could be added to that lose end. However, because of the remarkable engineering and thought put into this, the climbing wall assembly felt solid and secure when it was attached to the club house section of the build.
Though we tried to read all the instructions, cautions, warnings, and safety information, we found that there was a lot of information including two other languages, which is a great addition for Spanish and French speaking users. The yellow removable parts identifier located in the middle of the book was not found until we got to the middle of the book. We believe the amount of information of the front page may have caused us to not see the note. Possibly this could be given a bit more space so as to get a bit more attention. We also feel that having all the hardware blister packs in one box would have been better, that way we could locate them quickly and easily would have been better. We realize that the same note on the front page that mentions the parts identifier also mentions to inspect all parts and hardware would mean that we should have opened all of the boxes, but we wanted to keep clutter down, and we wanted to make sure we had all of the parts together and that we could find them when the instructions referenced which box that they were in.
Another potential improvement would be to have labels on each bag to identify the part. That is not to say that the manual didn't do a phenomenal job at pictorially identifying each part and its associated part number, but an additional help of part stickers on the bags would be great. The quick release Philips head bit was appreciated. Another help would be a 3/16 hex quick release bit to go with it.
As said above, the spare parts bag was a huge lifesaver, but additional DXY bolts and BTS barrel nuts would have been appreciated as the DXY was by far the more common bolt and almost every fastener used the BTS barrel nut. The binocular might have been put in a different location in the club house to allow close to 180° of swing, however, the placement and the stops that the binoculars had in place was also well thought out so as not to put the kids in danger of falling anywhere.
For all of the suggestions made, we hope that it is expressed and conveyed that even though these are suggestions for improvement, we understand that thoughtful planning for safety, convenience, and economy was put into every decision. From the placement of the parts identifier in the middle of the manual so it could be easily removed, to placing the binoculars in a place so the kids are safe, even though the arc of motion is restricted, all was done with care and thought. This is truly a phenomenal playset, and we will be looking at other Lifetime products in the future.

Easy assembly though time consuming, amazing quality and ...
We love this lifetime play-set! The assembly was not super complicated but was definitely time consuming- we went slow to be sure we did each step correctly, and a few times we had to back track, but thanks to a careful pace we didn't have to do that often and didn't have to undo very much at all. The instructions seemed easy to follow, but we also found a video on YouTube showing the assembly, and this helped us as we are visual learners. All the pieces and parts came without harm, every bolt and screw we needed was included, you will need a drill to complete this project if you do it on our own. The play-set once completed is tall, it includes a rope ladder, a "rock" climbing wall, a metal ladder, a slide, a platform that all of those lead to, and swings. Two seat swings and one hanging swing, with handles. The swings are attached by thick carabiners, so if you wanted to swap them out with a baby swing or something like that, it would be simple to do and secure. Everything is supported well, and we as adults have used the swings and didn't move the play-set. Though maybe we could have if we had a "who can swing higher" competition ;).
And since our children are little we walked through how to go up and down both the rope ladder and metal ladder, as well as the climbing wall, so that we didn't worry about them doing so on their own.
The pictures attached show the main frame of the player with the ladders and slide: what we were able to assemble on a Saturday, and then the others show it completed, which was finished on two different weeknights. As we said before, assembly was simple but definitely time consuming.
Our kids absolutely love it and it has made going outside way more appealing, though you may be stuck as a swing pusher if you get it ;). This makes the warmer days so much more fun, and way better than the kids begging for show after show! (Hallelujah!)
We would recommend this to anyone; our children are under 5, and I'm glad we got something that they can enjoy now and still enjoy when they're older. We have relatives with a similar model, and their 10 and 12 year old kids enjoy swinging and playing too! And with its high quality metal structure and other materials, we foresee it lasting for decades!

Awesome Playset
The set and assembly took about 7 hours to complete. It was very helpful to open all of the boxes/packages and lay it all out on the lawn to keep everything organized. We love the rock wall, the rope climb, and especially the double slide. The grandkids love to hold hands as they slide down! The round rope swing is nice for my handicapped grandson. The colors of the playset are nice that they blend in with the yard and make it aesthetically appealing. The size of the playset is great because it allows all of the grandkids to play at the same time and not have to wait to continue in the fun! We love it and so do the grandchildren!

Great Playset!
This playset is the new gathering place in the yard, after years of driving our older kids to playgrounds we brought the playground home with us. The assembly was doable with one person even though the recommended two people would be helpful. The swings and slides are the last step of the assembly process which is great because the kids wanted to climb on it before it was even fully assembled. Six or seven hours after getting it home I had it set up and in use, it's been played with every day since even in inclimate weather. The platform and slides have become a favorite spot for my youngest to test his cars and my 6 year old has already learned how to pump on the swings. I wish the platform extended closer to the climbing wall so the gap was more manageable for my younger kids, the older ones can step across no problem.

Kids love this playset!
We love our Big Stuff Playset from Lifetime! It took us about 6 hours to set up, and I 100% recommend using both the manual and video to help with installation. I'm really happy with the earth tone colors, it helps make it fit naturally in our yard. The kids love all the fun things from the swings to the 9 foot slide, plenty to do for all ages. But their favorite place to be is up in the playhouse driving their toy cars on the floor or writing with chalk on the wall. They also spend a lot of time on the three seat swing below the house too. We're very glad all the swings are coated and soft for the kids hands as well. So happy with our playset, I'm sure we'll be spending many hours outside now!!

Excellent Playset
We are very excited to be able to enjoy this playset! Our four year old daughter is having a blast playing on the swings, slide and climbing wall. She immediately started using her imagination with the ship wheel and binocular features. The earth tone colors work great for our location and preference. The size of the playset fits great in our backyard which is about 60 ft. by 80 ft. Our daughter will be able to have multiple friends come over to play with her since there are so many different options of activities within the playset.
When picking up the playset, it conveniently came on a pallet that was able to fit inside the back of an eight foot truck bed with the tailgate up. The overall assembly of the product took around eight hours between three sessions due to rainstorms and daylight. While assembling this product, the instructions were complete and easy to read even just by looking at the pictures. However, many of the components of the playset were not labeled on the actual part, making it difficult to determine which components were which. Only the boxes and the small hardware, such as screws, nuts, and bolts, were labeled in their blister packs.
Most of the build was easily completed by a single person. The roof was the most complicated piece to put together without help. After completing the assembly and testing out each component, the playset appears to be sturdy and we hope to get use out of it for many years.

Great Playset!
This playset is the new gathering place in the yard, after years of driving our older kids to playgrounds we finally brought the playground home with us. The assembly was doable with one person even though the recommended two people would have been much easier. The swings and slides are the last step of the assembly process which is great because the kids wanted to climb on it before it was even fully assembled. Six or seven hours after getting it home I had it set up and in use. It's been played on every day since, even in inclement weather. The kids, ranging from three to thirteen have all spent time on this playset. The platform and slides have become a favorite spot for the 3 year old and his cars and my 6 year old has already learned how to pump on the swings. I wish the platform extended closer to the climbing wall so the gap was more manageable for my younger kids, the older ones can step across no problem. I like the double slides, it gets used for racing often. I also like the fact that three kids can swing (if you include the bar as swinging) at a time. Another feature I like is that it has the rope ladder and the medal ladder. The medal ladder is easier for the littles, but the older ones prefer the rope. We haven't used the spider swing yet, but I like that we have it as an option. The neutral colors are nice since I see it all day out my window, and it fits nicely in the yard.

Five out of Five Stars!
The building material quality (powder coated metal and plastic) of this play set is what I would expect from any lifetime product, excellent. This playset took about 4 hours to assemble with 2 people. Lifetime's online instructional step by step assembly videos were very helpful. I will say the physical assembly manual booklet was difficult to find. It was in the roof panel box hidden between 2 roof panels. The 1-8 labeling on the boxes made the process smooth. Hardware is packaged separately for each step which really streamlined the process. Overall assembly was not very difficult for 2 adults.
The main thing that consistently sets Lifetime apart from other playset manufacturers is attention to detail. There are plastic caps on any open ends, preventing wasps from creating any nests on the playset. All edges are rounded and all allen bolts and nuts are flush so kids cannot trip or snag on them. The chains for all of the swings are covered and create no pinch points for small fingers.
My kids absolutely love this playset! There is not a single feature on this playset that goes unused for my 2 and 4 year old. They love laying on the spider swing together. They take turns using the merry-go-round on the bottom of the playset. My 2 year old has no issues climbing up the main ladder and my 4 year old loves going up the rope ladder or rock wall. The top portion of the playset is like the treehouse my 4 year old has always wanted! The captain's wheel, binoculars, and chalkboard really foster their big imaginations! I have seen them use that fort as a pirate ship, a lookout tower, and a camping tent where they lay on the platform and look at the stars in the roof above. They take toy cars to the top and use the built in car map to play before sending the cars racing down the slide. Perhaps the best feature of this playset is the dual slides. My kids love holding hands while going down the slides together! We have a fairly small backyard and this playset does take up a substantial amount of space but is not too invasive. It still leaves plenty of space for our vegetable garden, trampoline, and plenty of open room for the kiddos and dog to run. I can see our young kids enjoying this for many years to come. I would recommend this playset to anyone looking to add a backyard playground!

Great quality playset
Excellent playset. Sturdy and safe. Our daughter and the neighborhood kiddos love it.
