It is not all year round, which doesn't make sense, the bottom wood cracked in several places and collapsed after a snow storm. I cleared the snow off of it, but the wood still rotted.
The minute I opened the box, the terrible chemical smell spread all over. I tried working on putting it together in my living room, but got a headache from the odor. I took all the pieces outside on my patio, and they are still there a day and 1/2 later. I also noticed that the pieces of wood are two different colors- some are brown and some are rustic. Poor quality control. The pieces look like they are solid, and I think it will be a good raised bed when it is put together. I'm not going to worry about the differences in color. I'm glad there is a liner as I plan on growing veggies and don't want anything right next to the wood with the possibility of being contaminated. Will see how good it is when put together and filled.
The description on this planter states that the wood is cedar. It most definitely is not. Also, the included hardware is zinc coated which will rust and corrode within a few months of outdoor use. The pieces don't fit together very well when assembled. I attempted to make a return and was going to be charged approximately half of what I paid for them. Now I am stuck with junk. This is by far the worse purchase and experience that I have ever made through BB&B.
Easy to assemble, seems good but not sure how long it will last outside . I'm planning to plant in it next spring

Perfect height and easy to assemble. Bonus is it smells awesome. Only gripe is one of them the the bottom wasn't quite wide enough so I just ended up some spares 1" pine strips to reinforce it. Other than that it is holding up great.
I am pleased with my purchase. They were easy to assemble. They work perfectly for where we wanted to use them. We ordered one more. They arrived on the day that we expected them.
I thought they would be coated with SOMETHING. Seems like it is just cheap pine. I had my boyfriend put them together, came outside the next day and they were separating. The liner is supposed to be kept up with these crappy push pins that just rip the fabric when soil is put in. No rubber or stoppers come on the bottom of the wooden legs either. Will only last 1-2 seasons.
This planter box was very reasonably priced. It was easy to put together and I am now growing delicious tomatoes and I mean delicious! I let the kids start seeding watermelon in it. The drainage works perfectly. I live in Las Vegas...who would think you could produce such great vegetation.
