I was excited to receive this as the reviews were great. However, the screws were too short, the boards warped and the support braces cracked and fell through with only 3 bags of potting soil. I have reached out for a full refund. I will update when and if I receive a response.
I was surprised by the number of negative reviews. The planter came on time and had all the parts. It did take me longer than usual to assemble, but most of that was my fault. The instructions are only pictures - if you follow them very closely, you won't have an issue. Pay attention to the P and Q screws as it's easy to miss which ones go where on the instructions. I did find that the same letter pieces worked better in some places than others, you have to play around with them. The holes were drilled correctly, but the wood still split in a few places. It will not affect the stability of the planter. Don't tighten the bolts and screws until you have it put together. I added 4 more drain holes with a hole saw. I am very happy with the planter - it's large and very sturdy and is very attractive. I will be staining the exterior a darker color to match my deck and protect the fir wood from the elements. It was well worth the price.
