Preserving a time-honored technique, Soto adds small panels of reverse-painted glass to the frame. The result is stunning.

Story Behind the Art:-
I am Gunadi, I was born on February 16, 1981 in Bantul, and grew up there. It is a small village not far from the city of Yogyakarta which is rich of art and philosophies. I am a married man with one son, give me more responsibility in making a good plan for his life in the future. In Java, especially Jogjakarta, Art and craft typically used in custom events or a special collection, and batik is closely associated with traditional ceremonies, there are philosophies contained in the art of batik. My parent taught me about working hard to reach dreams and always think positiv, to be wise and help others. I grew with entrepreneur spirit and that time I decided to resigned from the company I worked for to begin organize wood batik artisans in my village, since they are unemployed due to the company where they were work before was closed. Most of them are women, and now thank to God they can work at home and have more time for their family. We use woods for material and then do Batik process on them with manual tools. The wood material is easy to find but the Batik process takes lots of time. We were once at difficult situation when We got order for a thousand pieces. But lucky, our customer knew well about Batik and how difficult is the process. So they gave us good tolerance for colors and pattern shapes. We do wood batik ornaments, acessories and décor with the best quality we can and collaborate our traditional batik culture in to our designs.
