only thing I disliked is the right upper corner of the fire opening wasn't mitered right. I had to fill the gap
The Harlan Grand is very nice. Easy to put together, heat output is ok.
It is surprisingly easy to set up having many parts. I like the way that it uses similar screw sizes and the screws have handles that you won't need a tool to assemble the fireplace mantel. It emits good heating and is quiet. We bought it just i. Time for Christmas and now we have stockings hanging to it
Building: Only one type of fastener is needed. Instructions: Slightly vague at the end, so just have the completed image handy. The pieces are real wood and quite rigid. The material quality surprised me. I expected MDF. It is stately and classy. The firebox is good to very good. Electric can only get so good, but you can mix and match flame colors, patterns and log effects. The heat is on par with others (all types of heaters are limited in BTUs by electric supply).
My daughter and I were able to put this together without difficulty. The fireplace is beautiful and looks perfect in our living room. Most people think it was built in the home. The flames are nice to look at and color options are great.
Nice looking fireplace, arrived with a chip in the mantle, but Overstock promptly replaced it. Very happy with my purchase.
I wasn't expecting this to be as solid and well built as it is. Instructions were pretty easy to follow. I had one connection where the threading didn't work. I used my own spare wood screw. It looks just as nice as the photos online. Fireplace sits inside and works just like an electric space heater. Flames look pretty cool and can be on without the heater for ambiance.
received and was packed very carefully nothing broke and label was a cling so came right off. My husband and I put together at times hard to figure out but just take your time and it will go together. My husband push so the gaps are not too bad.The firebox gives off a pretty flame.
Solid wood pieces. Looks beautiful. Assembly was easy enough but pictures in assembly could have been larger. First electric fireplace and it feels very real. Love it! Buy it!
The Fireplace is elegant and functional all at the same time. Really happy with this purchase.
