Features: These tribal rugs are made of 100% wool pile and vegetable dyes.  The knot count per square inch for this rug is 160.  The pile height is 0.25 inches.  Colors include rust, charcoal, blue, beige, tan, salmon, green and brown. 

Story Behind the Art: This particular rug was made in the 1880's by village weavers in the town of Heriz, which is known as one of the most significant historical places in the Azerbaijan province. The process of rug making includes cleaning, washing and dyeing the wool, and then weaving the rug with vegetable-dyed wool. Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, the size may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come.
