Care - How to Reseason Your Cast Iron:
- Scrub clean with a stiff brush or cleaning mesh.
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Choose a high-smoke-point oil (Sunflower or Grapeseed).
- Rub oil into skillet interior and walls until well-oiled but not dripping.
- Bake at 300°F for 10 minutes, wipe off excess oil.
- Increase oven temperature to 400°F (205°C) and bake for 1 hour.
- Turn off oven and allow skillet to cool inside.
- Once cool, wipe away any remaining oil.
Your cast iron is now seasoned and ready to use. Repeat as needed to maintain seasoning.
