So, I haven't actually gotten to see this thing in action. We couldn't afford to buy an umbrella stand AND an umbrella at once, so, right now the stand is just sitting next to our table outside. It looks really nice though! It's a really nice color, very deep terracotta. Really cute design. It is REALLY heavy, so it seems like it will do well keeping an umbrella up. I'll definitely write again if the stand DOESN'T hold up in winds, but my thinking now is that it will be a great buy!
I bought 2 bases a few weeks ago. They are beautiful and so far have supported my umbrella's. I would purchase them again.
Very durable. They didn't have the color I would prefer ( light brown) so I got black to match the 11' umbrella I purchased from Overstock. Looks great. Very heavy, and I hope it will hold umbrella up in our notorious Santa Ana winds ! In fact, don't lift it or hurt your back, roll it on end to where you want it ! Took about 10+ days to arrive.
Needed to replace an umbrella base at home by the ocean--very windy conditions plus salt air. Shopped locally and found nothing comprable in weight or future durablility. Ordered this (was even available in different colors--I ordered the green to match my existing table & chairs)--so pleased--easy to attach old umbrella and looked great!!
These patio umbrella stands are great. They have enough weight to hold my 9 foot umbrella upright regardless of the wind. The vinyl bottom is such a good idea. And best of all, they will not rust, chip or fade like the conventional wrought iron stands. If you are looking for an umbrella stand, these are perfect. YES, I give them 5 stars.
