Love the look of Restoration Hardware but D'Angelo's is better priced and looks very elegant. I had an electrician come in and add add'l support in the ceiling due to the hefty weight. However, after all crystals were hung, one side of the ceiling crossbar came loose from the drywall. The electrician had to come back and put in additional anchors (not included) which seems to have fixed the problem. I assumed that the crystals would be hung using a hook like a Christmas ornament but no. Included are straight "bow tie pins" that are flat metal that you have to thread each crystal, bend then thread through canopy, bend. 2-1/2 hours of very tedious hanging and making sure each were bent in the same place so they hang the same length and straight. The end result is amazing. I would of given 5 stars because it is amazing but hanging pins were a pain and the instructions are pretty much non-existent. Five diagrams and no written instructions. Also the light bulbs are not included. They did include ONE white cotton glove to handle the crystals (a must) but you need two to do the job. My husband ran down to CVS and bought white cotton hand therapy gloves in the pharmacy area.
The curtain rod looks nice. I got the copper color. It's very affordable for such a long rod, and the quality's fine, though nothing amazing. The problem is that the plastic anchors that hold the screws in the wall don't work. They're not the typical conical style but some weird style that's much longer and cylindrical with a couple tabs that are probably supposed to grab onto the drywall. However, they don't do the job, and I lost a whole anchor and screw inside the wall. There are no instructions for the anchors to show me if I did something wrong. I ended up using some conical anchors I had around the house, and they're working fine.
After searching and comparing a few dozen similar products I chose this one because I have alot of necklaces and earrings. The wood is good quality and the corners were mitered very nicely. The beveled mirror is beautiful. I was able to hang it easily - some tips... take the door off! It makes lifting so much easier. I was able to find a stud in the wall so I drilled a second hole at the bottom of the unit to tie into the stud as well. Definitely use stronger anchors if you are just hanging on drywall. To make better use of the double hooks for necklaces, I turned the hooks 45 degrees to separate the necklaces. Great unit. :)
