I immediately washed them, then noticed a problem while I was putting the fitted sheet on the bed. One 2" long area didn't get stitched together properly and was open & fraying. Fortunately, I have a sewing machine, so I sat down and stitched the area closed. It's not perfect, but I thought this was easier than going through the return process and then trying to decide on another sheet set. So far, I've washed the set twice, and the fit and feel of the fabric is moderately heavy and feels expensive; no pilling and no further seam problems. I gave it an average rating as a balance between the Excellent quality of the material and Poor quality of the sewing in that one area of the fitted sheet. Overall, I would purchase again as I think the sewing problem was probably a rare aberration.
