I love my new pale blue braided rug. It's beautiful. That is, until you step on it! It's got too many "short hairs." For those of you who have braided hair, you know how the short hairs stick out as you work your way down the plait. Well, that's what happens with this rug: the threads stick out as soon as mild pressure is applied, e.g., even if you walk on rug with slippers. So, the rug always looks worn and as if it's old and coming apart, or as if there's a speck of dirt on it. Only vacuum with suction -- no beater bar or brush. So, why am I not returning it? I had returned the previous one because it was too turquoise and this color is so soft and beautiful. I will put up with having the rug look old and worn -- it's in a guest bedroom-- not a high traffic area. Maybe I can call it an herifloom! So, if you want a beautiful, old and worn-looking braided rug that looks as if it was your grandmother's, then get this one.
