Out of the package, the duvet covers and shams looked great: nice colors, nice fabric. Then I washed them, since I always wash these types of products before using them. I was very disappointed when the teal set (both duvet cover and shams) came out with several big splotches of light pinkish color on top of areas which had lost some of their teal color. The light green set was also not perfect: the color didn't change, but the duvet cover had a few small smudges, not too noticeable. I'm pretty sure all of these color problems were due to a manufacturer's defect in the dyeing process. I returned the teal set for a full refund and kept the light green set, because I like the color a lot, and I also like the substantial weight of the fabric. You can plan on having to iron these items, even after taking them directly out of the dryer, as I did. All in all, I'd say this is a very nice product, if you are willing to risk getting a defective set and going through the trouble of returning it.
