The description is poor. The big selling point of this projector is that it's 4500 ANSI Lumens light output, up by a third over the previous model, the TH1060. I haven't put a meter to them but they look more like 3500+ ANSI. This is a great projector for the money. I bought a pair and out of the box the images looked matched. This is a bare bones projector as far as function. No lens shift, limited zoom and long throw distance. My first setup was on 12' wide screens with all the lights on and with the window blinds open in a large meeting room. The slides and videos looked great. Fine detail in the slides and little to no image blur with fast moving video. The price here is awesome, better than I found at wholesale distributors. I am a Projection, Video & Audio Engineer by trade and I have a small rental company on the side. These two TH1060Ps are the first projectors in my inventory. I also have two AJA KiPro HD recorders and two JBL PRX635 speakers, a very limited inventory but all my equipment is the best in quality. I'd look at other projectors for my house, this is more of a presentation projector because of the high light output and because they have sacrificed the contrast ratio, only 2500:1, to get that output. I'm waiting for a 1080P LED lit projector to come out at a reasonable price. LED lit projectors look awesome and cost a lot right now. It's hard not to be happy with this purchase.
