More than just a cookbook.

This is an fascinating cookbook that can change the way you feel and live. Ingredients missing from this book include sugar, vegetable oils, yeast flours, and processed foods. Healthy fats and meat proteins (with their enzymes) are the backbone of the book. Vegetarians should read up about the possible harm they are doing to themselves and especially to their small children by eating the way they do. I can personally attest that I saw improvements in the first week of using this book, even without going totally organic as she suggests. One word of warning is that since you will no longer be getting your energy from carbohydrates and sugars you will definitely need to keep up on the healthy fats in your diet to keep the blood sugars level. If you can find a nutritionist or doctor that agrees with this book's philosophy and can help you all the better. The sidebars on each page give scientifically backed information and medical and anthropological studies that back the premise of this book. They are a good read in their own right. Included are numerous studies that have been suppressed by the big food industry because they contradicted what was best for their profits. You will look at a walk down the grocery aisle in a different light after reading this book. If you are looking to improve your health, lose weight, level out your mood and energy swings, this book is for you.
