I haven't taken out the K-cup holder or the cups yet, since I am remodeling my cabinets. It is sitting on my dining room table for now. I have used it several times so I think it works good enough. I prefer K-cup makers since I only drink one cup (if that) a day of coffee while at home. I will let you know that that cord can be put away in a hole in the back of the brewer, that way if you have it near an outlet on your counter, you wont have to worry about extra cable laying all over the place. But on the other hand, if you have it far away (like I do, temporarily) it can be difficult to take the cord out, at least the first time, because it can get twisted around and stuck in there. Also, when you lift the top to put the k-cup in, it seems a little weak... I thought I was going to break it if i handled it too hard. So I do use a gentle hand, and since it is light, it is usually two handed because I dont want it to accidently tip over and spill out all the water I just put in. But I have been using this for three weeks and neither of my fears about this maker have come true (breaking or spilling), so I think it is working just fine so far! Yay for me!
