I bought 12 of these chairs to go into our new dining room. They had the perfect retro modern look that I was going for, so I was very excited when the arrived! We are having a large dinner party this weekend, so I needed something quickly. The plastic molded chairs are great, and they look good. They come well packaged, and are wrapped very well to avoid scratches and damage in transit. My problem came when it was time to assemble the chairs. It is a very simple process - 4 screws to connect the plastic chair base to the metal frame. But, the holes on the frame don't line up well to the holes on the seat AT ALL. On 7 of the chairs - I only have 3 of the 4 screws in because they don't line up at all, and 2 of the chairs only have 2 screws because they are so badly aligned. So 9 out of the 12 chairs couldn't be lined up for 4 screws. Additionally, most of the bottoms of the chairs have some sort of "cover-up" paint on them - in a color that is close, but not exact to that of the actual chair color. I'm not too bothered by it because it's on the bottom and you can't see it, but it again shows a high lack of quality. Finally, the black foam on the arm rests seems to also be of a lesser quality. One came slightly ripped right out of the box, and I'm hoping my 2 kids don't touch the other chairs because I can see that they will quickly become damaged. Overall, the chairs look great, but they are poorly made. This is the first negative review I've ever had on Overstock, and I hope it's my last.
