The stone in this pendant is roughly equivalent to a Swiss Blue topaz--it's a lighter and brighter blue than pictured, and while not quite what I expected it's very pretty. I'm keeping it, and will probably order this pendant in the other colors available. As for the pendant itself, it's priced fairly for what it is. It's not going to fool anybody with an eye for fine jewelry, but if you're like me and like big, sparkly, colorful gemstones and don't care if they're fake, it's a good deal. The very plain, heavy bail and the way it's attached to the pendant looks cheap, but to be honest, most people won't notice. The chain that comes with this pendant, however--ugh! Yuck! It looks like it came out of a gumball machine! I recommend switching it out for a heavy silver chain; I tried the pendant on an 18k yellow gold chain and it made the gold on it look too-bright and fake. On silver, however, it looks just fine.
