Although there was a workmanship issue with my pendant (the inner connecting ring - from where the crystals hang - was not level), I am still confident in giving this product 4 stars. The style of the lamp is a nice combination of traditional (crystals, which appear to be real) and urban/rustic (metal cage). The product arrives nicely packaged but requires a bit of assembly. The wiring needs to be threaded through several screw-on disks and also the rods, but that was simple. There were (approx) 36 individual strands of crystals which arrived unattached to the fixture. The process of putting the lamp together and attaching the crystals to the inner ring took approximately 45 minutes. (As mentioned above, the inner ring on my lamp was not level, therefore after the pendant was hung, I had to spend about another 30 minutes adjusting each individual strand's length to make the whole unit appear level. That was frustrating, not to mention made my arms and neck ache!) I chose to use this light in my dining room. It's a fairly substantial size (not huge, but not dainty) that's just right for my space. I only used the 6-inch drop rod due to my low ceilings. I had it installed and put on a dimmer switch by a licensed electrician. I like having the dimmer because of the ambiance that's created when the light is on a lower setting (the crystals cast a great pattern on the walls and ceiling - almost aquarium-like) but I also like the flexibility to have brighter light when needed. The description says this pendant is "copper" but that is NOT the color. The color is Oil-Rubbed Bronze (closely resembles the product photo). I purchased a ceiling pendant to use with this lamp (from a home improvement store) in oil-rubbed bronze and it matched perfectly. The product description says that three 40-watt candelabra bulbs are required, but the lamp itself says that you can go up to 60 watts.
