I got this mattress hoping that it would help my pain from sevre fibromyalgia, since a few people wrote that it helped their fibromyalgia. I feel about the same after sleeping on this mattress for about two weeks. One side of the mattress is now 2" higher than the other side, so we are sleeping on an uncomfortable slant. My husband complains that he can't a deep nights sleep on this mattress, and I find myself feeling even tireder. I agonized over whether to buy a medium or soft version, and ended up choosing soft. It's actually quite firm, much firmer than our original cushioned firm mattress. Other reviewers lead me to believe that there's quite a bit of variance in firmness of the various versions of this mattress. Getting the mattress up the 17 stairs to our apartment was quite a challenge. We are older and disabled, and it was very difficult. I'd reconsider if you have to carry this up any stairs and aren't able to get assistance. It's very heavy and awkward to carry, and we almost failed. It's been two weeks, and I'm disappointed that the bed hasn't expanded to it's promised dimension. My husband's side is now 12", and my side is 14", so we are sleeping at a slant that we can feel. There is an odor at first, but it diminishes over time. It did effect my asthma and allergies for about the first ten days. It's possible that the mattress will become more comfortable as we sleep on it for a month or so, but it's not refundable, and this was a lot of money for us to spend on a limited income. Also, two days after I ordered it, it was on sale for 20% less, so make sure you're getting the best deal. I don't think that I'll ever buy another mattress without trying it out first, and also will only buy one that is returnable.
