I have assembled kitchen chairs, closet systems, entertainment centers, three closet systems so I've become fairly accustomed to RTA type furniture. The instructions were pretty clear but be careful when you install the drawer glides. The description and picture were inaccurate and I had to remove them and reassemble. Otherwise, assembly was straight forward but took about 2 hours for one person. I have a couple complaints though. The drawers are cheap and don't glide smoothly. I sprayed some WD-40 which helped a bit. Also, there is a section of the frame that wasn't finished properly. So instead of it being a smooth finish, it's sort of a rough hewn finish. In only paid $100 for this nightstand because for some reason, the price was reduced on the day I bought it. I purchased it so I could see the quality of the piece before I buy the dresser. I've decided I don' t like how the drawers glide so I probably won't purchase the dresser.
