Story Behind the Art:
Tabriz rugs are among the most beautiful and legendary carpets ever built.Many rugs produced in Tabriz are attempting to follow the incredible artistry of the Persian Safavid rugs. However, the design of this rug was copied and re-created in the Varanasi region of India. The villagers do the entire process of shearing, washing, dyeing and weaving of the rugs within their own compound by hand. These rugs are virtually identical in design, workmanship and authenticity as the originals. The rug is made of 100-percent wool with pure vegetable dyes.

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
