• This rug is produced by Afghan weavers in the northern and central parts of Afghanistan where the production of rugs is limited to a few villages. The majority of the weavers are women who live in villages in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. By purchasing this rug, you are helping to create jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so. Local farmers also benefit from wool sales, and local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.
