Story Behind the Art:
Moroccan artisans are known throughout the world for their intricate designs, vivid colors and traditional style. The art form is carried on from generation to generation and artisans are very proud of their work and their heritage. Moroccan wooden coffee tables are symbolic of the ever famous Moroccan hand painted wooden doors found in historic riads. Riads are historic homes and/or palaces found in the 'old cities' of Morocco. These homes are typically 200-300 years old and the old cities can be 1,000 years old or more.
