Story Behind the Art:
This Bidjar pattern originates in Iran, however, the design of this rug was copied and re-created in the Bhadohi village in the Varanasi region of India, led by Mr. Alam. The entire process of shearing, washing, dyeing and weaving of the rugs is done by village weavers. These rugs are virtually identical in design, workmanship and authenticity as the originals.
