Story Behind the Art:

In 2000, Chris Bruning discovered a community of craftsmen and artisans in Thailand that do their part to preserve the environment by salvaging teak root stumps and saving these farming obstacles from the devastating impacts of slash and burn agriculture. Handcrafted from recovered teak root stumps, the Groovystuff Back to the Roots Collection focuses on styles that are practical, organically appealing and provide a solution for farmers that would typically burn these giant obstructions as a path of least resistance to clearing a field for planting.
