Story Behind the Art:
India's Lalit Kumar inherited his craft from his father. 'There is much talent in our town, with artisan groups of both men and women. Traditionally, Rajasthani women are not allowed to work outside their homes so they take their work home. There are no strict working hours, so they generally embroider and do beadwork when they are free from their household chores. This lets them look after their homes and families and helps them to be financially stable as well.'
