  • A good buy
    Verified Purchase

This product needed a lot of time and patience to assemble. It looks good now that it's done, but it was a lot of work!

  • For Engineers Only - Do not buy it
    Verified Purchase

It looks like it would have been nice but the "connectors" didn't work nor did the overly complicated "cam" assembly hardware. So many parts and entire assembly required. I suggest only Engineers buy this. I spent hours on it and finalliy put it in the trash. I was so frustrated I didn't even feel like trying to figure out how to return it. I lost money and won't shop on here again because of that experience. $100 piece of junk in the garbage.

  • Very Poor
    Verified Purchase

Very poor quality. I'm very familiar with assembling these sorts of pieces and this one is poorly designed. The drawer doesn't fit well. Overall, very poor quality and appearance. Overstock requires items to be disassembled for returns so I have to take it apart to return it - not good!

  • Ameriwood Nightstand
    Verified Purchase

I was looking for a cheap, super cute nightstand and I found this! Although it says it's a "kids" nightstand, I am a sophomore in high school and I love these! It comes with both a glass knob and a wooden one, so it can go in both a girl's or a boy's room. They are pretty easy to assemble but it's still time consuming with all the different parts. One of my nightstands came with a small chip on the drawer front, but it was hardly noticeable when it was all put together. These nightstands are made of mostly MDF (high-quality particle board) so it is not quite as sturdy as hardwood. They actually turned out a lot sturdier than expected. I would not recommend setting a drink on the top without a coaster because, even though this did not happen with this particular piece of furniture, I have had MDF furniture expand and buckle when left in contact with water for too long. Overall, I love my new nightstands and would recommend you buy them. Building tips: -Most of the directions are diagrams but make sure to read the small paragraphs that go with them. At one point you have to wet some of the dowels but not all of them so read carefully. -Make sure to get the back on straight. Although it is more flimsy than the rest of the pieces, if you get it put on wrong it can make the whole thing tilt. I would suggest doing a corner at a time to keep it straight. -Use wood glue on the black dowels that attach the bottom of the nightstand to the two sides. This is optional but I have found that it makes it sturdier. -Be careful when putting the top on. If the wooden dowels aren't hammered in enough, then you can bust though the top.
