This innovative keiretsu is applying disruptive technology to various projects ranging from bringing vast populations out of poverty to a total overhaul of the United States’ securities markets. As a vocal supporter, Johnson has spent countless hours educating both the public and policy makers around the world to the potential of blockchain.Johnson is currently a member of Overstock.com's board of directors. He previously served as the chairman of the board from 2014 to 2017, transitioning to the position after five years as the company's president, and later as the executive vice chairman of the board. Johnson joined Overstock in 2002 as the company's general counsel and has held various business and legal-related positions within the company. He has been an integral part of Overstock's growth from a small start-up to a publicly traded company with over $1.8 billion in sales and nearly 2,000 employees.Prior to joining Overstock, Johnson was with TenFold Corporation in various positions, including CFO and general counsel. Before that, he practiced corporate law in Los Angeles with two international law firms and served as a judicial clerk at the Utah Supreme Court. Prior to this role, Nielsen served as Overstock’s Chief Sourcing and Operations Officer, where he was responsible for overseeing the sourcing, merchandising, partner and category management, and supply chain teams for the global online home goods leader. Nielsen previously spent six years with Overstock, rising to the position of co-president and leading the company’s marketing, merchandising, and supply chain operations. He left Overstock to assume the role of CEO at Global Access, a leading global provider of logistics technology and cross border expertise for brands looking to provide a consistent and trusted shopping experience to both domestic and international customers.Nielsen also held several leadership positions with Payless ShoeSource, Inc., eventually rising to the role of vice president of merchandise allocation, where he was responsible for the assortment planning and allocation of merchandise across 4,500 stores in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. Lee also oversees all marketing, public relations, and corporate communications functions within the organization.With two decades at Overstock, Lee brings a respected tenure to managing multiple business elements, including people, technology, marketing, and other cross-functional systems. Lee began his career with Overstock in 2001 as a system administrator and was later promoted to Director of Internal Systems before being appointed Vice President of Technology. He is a member of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee, and is the Chairman of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee. Tabacco is the founding partner of the San Francisco office of Berman DeValerio, a law firm that prosecutes class actions nationwide on behalf of institutions and individuals, mostly victims of antitrust and securities law violations.A 1974 honors graduate of the George Washington University School of Law, Tabacco has actively litigated antitrust, securities fraud, commercial high tech, and intellectual property matters since the 1970s. Since entering private practice in the 1980s, after a six year stint as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, Tabacco has served as trial or lead counsel in numerous antitrust and securities cases nationally. Tabacco and his firm represent numerous public pension fund and private institutional clients nationally and have successfully prosecuted cases resulting in the recovery of billions of dollars for defrauded investors and businesses.
