  • Brillant colors!!

I'm usually apprehensive about ordering things online since they don't always look as shown. This is an exception! I was looking to brighten up a room and this was perfect!! As others described, there is an odor. The odor on the one I received was by no means mild - it literally stunk up the whole room and out into the hallway. I feel bad for the person who wanted to use it for house guests. I didn't want to wash it as I didn't want the colors to fade. I left it out on the bed (in a spare room that wasn't being used) and it took about a week for the odor to leave the room and about another week for it to leave the fabric. If you don't need to use this right away and have a place to air it out it's well worth the time. The only other minor issue was the pillow shams weren't like shams I was expecting - if you look close at the picture you may notice. It's actually like a pillow case where the pillow enters from the side. I was expecting the slit in the back for the pillow. There is a little flap on the end that's suppose to keep it from gaping open, but it doesn't really work for my pillows. I didn't knock off any stars for these things because the odor did dissipate and with a couple extra pillows on the bed you wouldn't be able to see the gap on the ends of the "pillow shams". I like it so much that if I knew about these issues ahead of time, I still would have ordered it - just thought others might want to know. Other than that, the colors are beautiful and the quality is very good. This is definitely something I'll have for a long time!

  • Red/ Orange Queen-size 3-piece Duvet Cover Set

I love this set! The colors are bright and vivid. I really don't know why that person gave it 1 star. Yes there was a faint smell, that's to be expected from the dying process. How do you eliminate the problem? It's simple, I put 1/2 cup baking soda in my washer, used my He soap washed it in cold water, and the odor was gone, yes the color faded a bit but not that much. It came out the dryer a bit crushed up, put that's what an iron is for! I'm completely happy with this product, it was a bit pricey, but it looks wonderful. Thanks Overstock, I really love your Worldstock items.

The colors are brilliant! There's a slight dye smell that a Fabric refresh spray will remove without dry cleaning it.

  • Bright Room

The colors on the website match the colors in the package. The duvet and pillowcases bring brightness the room. I would purchase a duvet from this company again. It did smell when the package was opened as was said on another review. Once I washed it before putting it on the bed the smell was gone. The colors faded a little but not a lot.

  • Design was cool, but scent was horrible
    Verified Purchase

Gosh, I wanted to love this but what a disaster. Out of the box it looked great, but the strange smell was overbearing. I was having house guest and this was to go on the bed, I had to wash it four times and still there was a slight scent that was not favorable. By having to wash it that many times before even putting it on the bed, it was faded and looked used on the first making of the bed. But, that's not the worse...when I looked into the dryer after the final dry, OMG is all I can say, that weird dye was all over the inside of my dryer like a clay stain, initially I tried wiping it out, then tried using bleach--neither worked. My son took brillo and scrubbed for a while and got it out...way too much work, I'd rather give the world group a donation and buy something that doesn't require so much work just to get to go...would have returned if I had not washed it four times...just couldn't believe the stench was that strong...
