  • Glass Ball Lamp - looks lovely
    Verified Purchase

I love this light. I read reviews were people cut themselves on the glass - uh??? I don't see how. My light is great. It was a little "out of round" but I squished it back into shape - without a scratch. Good product. I even ordered two other designs of the recycled glass lamps.

  • False advertising!
    Verified Purchase

I expected a larger item. It was advertised as being 9 inches in diameter but I held out a ruler and took photos of it being FAR shorter than that. That is false advertising! It is more like 6 inches.

I recommend this product. It is on the small side but I put it on a stack of books next to the bed and it looks great.

  • Under the sea...

This lamp gives off wonderful light, if somewhat bright. It cast light that reminds me of water. Well made, unique and you can feel good about this purchase because it's a fair trade product. I gave it as an xmas gift and it was very well received. I wish I would've bought one for myself.

  • Perfect Bath Accessory

I bought this lamp to use as a night light for my bathroom, but wanted something esthetically pleasing as well. This one (equipped with a 2W LED bulb) fulfills the nighlight purpose beautifully, and is very attractive in daylight as well. I'd have given it five stars except for 3 small issues: 1) the color in not nearly as blue-green as the picture portrays - it's actually mostly clear with a hint of blue-green glinting on the edges of the cut glass. 2) the buib can only be changed by actually removing the whole electrical socket, which requires a screwdriver, and gloves to protect against the cut glass. 3) the in-cord switch was located about six feet down the electrical cable, which placed it behind the cabinet and much nearer the electrical socket than the lamp. I was forced to do a bit of electrical work to remove the switch and repair the wires in the original location. I love the look of it, but cannot give high marks to the design and construction.

  • Very pretty, very sharp
    Verified Purchase

This is not an item for a house with children. Literally it is shards of blue glass. It is very pretty but quite sharp. I was surprised that it is really broken bits of glass wired together. It works for me but would not for anyone who has individuals they need to watch. It is heavy. It must be turned upside down to change the light bulb. This requires a thick fabric or gloves even.

  • Love the look

I loved the look of these chubby little globes. I tried to screw in a new energy efficient bulb but the globe wasn't tall enough to accomodate. Otherwise, I kept the two that I ordered as bedroom accent lighting. I do really like the look but if I had kids, I would be concerned about cutting from the glass.
