The color is very nice. It has the "artisan" hand-made look which is not supposed to be factory perfect. The hardware is lightweight and is exposed, just like in the picture, but if you used it under a valance or with curtains, that will conceal it. I used it to cover an open wood shelving unit in my utility room and screwed the header right into the wood on either end. Looks like a piece of art in there and covers the contents. Love it!

I needed a covering for the window in my bathroom, which is directly above the tub. Curtains would not do, and mini-blinds, while they woud have worked, seemed a little too bland. When I saw this bamboo blind printed with Van Gough sunflowers on it, I knew it was what I wanted. Functional art! It fit absolutely perfectly at 48-inches across--looks like it was made for the window. In morning or evening when it's not too bright outside, I'm treated to the big, bodacious blooms. I suppose the one downside is that when it is bright outdoors it washes out the blooms so that I really cannot see them at all, but it still works as a blind. I've come to think of them as night-bloooming sunflowers. :)
