"hi I understand it stated "lead free," however this tagine looks like it is glazed. What is the glazed coating made from? And what kind of clay? I understand this items are from World Market but it would be great to list the materials made from so we can have a better understanding. A lot people like my self are in quest of finding earthenware vessels for healthy non toxic cookwares. Any information will be great thank you."

Story Behind the Art:
Ceramic tagines are exquisite examples of Moroccan artisanship. Our imported tagines are hand-formed by artisans in Safi, Southern Morocco. Tagine is historically Berber dish from North Africa that is named after the special earthenware pot in which it is cooked.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
