These are painted on lines...not wood. We've had them up for awhile now. They haven't broke and serve the purpose of creating privacy and still lets light in. I had to rework the cord system and put wine corks on the ends for weights to keep the cords from tangling. White cords are a little strange, black would've looked better. For the money..they are not bad.

For the price of almost ***, I expected the grid to be made of thin woode cross pieces like other shoji blilnds I've seen. Most of the black grid lines were printed on with occasional wooden pieces. Returned item to Overstock for refund. The cost of maililng to return item was half the price of the blind. Don't think I'll use Overstock again.
