I can't believe that I almost canceled this order, thinking that I needed to buy a more expensive window treatment. It is a classic design, well constructed and looks like a design feature rather than an inexpensive window treatment. It allows light in and leaves a softly muted shadow - not for full occlusion.

I have been looking for a window treatment that was not in the curtain/blind category. I decided to try this screen as it fit the bill of nontraditional, is lightweight, and when I choose to, I can fold it up and allow the room to be flooded with natural daylight - and then open it again at night and replace it in front of my window for privacy. It also provides a sun/heat shield for that special time of day when more heat than light is entering the room in the summer. On the more practical side, I have found it to be a great alternative to the more traditional window coverings for me, in that there is no application of hardware required. No ladders, hammers or screws, etc.

I first purchased one screen to see if I liked it, loved it and bought another one. I am using them as a window treatment for a very large window. I have received lots of compliments.

I read the reviews and was still unsure about the quality and look were going to be right for me. I was so pleasantly surprised by this set. I bought 2 for a dining room to replace the paper blinds on the windows from when we moved in. I could not buy the materials for these curtains for less. The cording on the valance helps to give it weight and the scalloped edge adds to the quality look. The windows I have these curtians on are just narrow enough, so the valance and curtain wrap around the side of the rod (I used a 2 1/2' rod) and there is a little gathering but not much. The loop on one tieback became unraveled, but I think I can fix it and that was the only thing wrong with any part of this product. Also, these are not lined, so the light will shine through, but they are not at all sheer. No loose strings, the edges are stright and clean and even, and the pattern lines up on the panels when they are closed, for a cohesive look. All in all, a beautiful set. I would recommend this product.
