This little Pirate Ship is a pretty good size. Our grandson tries to reach across, but I have to to tell him to walk around. It has to be almost full to be able to use the cannon for it to squirt water and it shoots pretty far. It seems pretty study with only 3 big legs, which you screw underneath to the ship. There is a hand pump you push in the middle which water goes up to the center of the crows nest and runs water down the outside of center which makes all the spinner on the pole spin. A lot of little items to play in the ship. Which there were more pirates that came with the ship, only 2 total. Also the spinners on both sides that you spin by hand does not stay on, I tried to get them to attach, but seems to just float off. Still love the fun it gives my grandson, he does get pretty wet playing with the ship.
This water play table is adorable but has issues that are quite troublesome. The water cannon is cool but as an adult I can hardly work it. Very hard to push and get water to come out, when it does .... works great! When the boys use it, 20 months, 2 and 4, they all push down on it, it comes out of the holder, so they are constantly walking around asking for it to be fixed. Now the plastic pins that hold it are nearly gone. So the cannon is done and the table has been used twice. The age for this table is 2+ !!!!!!! There are more issue,s the pump for the crow's nest water feature is difficult too. You have to pump like mad to get any of the wheel to turn! Again the boys struggle for not much to happen.! The **** Step 2 water table I just replaced had a much better water wheel... super easy... lots of flow. Not sure what the little skull and crossbone things are but if you put enough water in the table to work the other water features they just float off their pins. Then there's the MAST, the darn thing is always in the way. The boys want it moved all the time but not taken off. If you want to spend lot's of time with the kids buy this one, if you want to relax and watch them play ... think twice : )
I bought this as a gift for my daughter's first birthday, she loves it. My four year old loves it just as much. I give it four stars because of price and quality. We have had it outside (in March) for one week and the plastic is sun-faded already. It is a lightweight plastic so it will tip if kids try to pull up on the side, even if it is full of water. I have had good luck with American Plastic as a company for indoor toys, I suspect this table is only meant to be outside while being played with.
