I purchased the thickest of the unsinkable floats because I was hoping for a float that would last and keep me as dry as possible for floating and tanning at the same time. As a float connoisseur I know that aside from the walled in mattress types you can find no float will keep you 100% dry so I was expecting some water to come in. Given it's winter and our pool is at 60 degrees I tested it in the hot tub and was marginally impressed. I'd say about 2 inches of water did come up from the bend where my rump was but I'm not sure if it's because 1) it'll always do that no matter what; 2) the water was 105 degrees making the float more malleable or 3) my bubble butt that would shame a Kardashain proved no match for the float and it gave way. After googeling the float and inspecting user photos very closely I'm going to go ahead and assume #1 is the winner and if so I am ok with that as I haven't come across another float that let up less... The headrest is nice, high and stuff enough for a nap and the float itself is pretty comfortable. Looking forward to using it in the summer time. Lastly we realized we will have to break down and by the $80 - $100 rack to hang them up on the wall; without it they're just a pain and in the way of enjoying the deck.
