This wagon requires a little bit of elbow grease to put together. You'll need a hammer, screwdriver, pliers, and a wrench. It's made of an okay, but not high, quality wood. The sides slip in and secure only in the slot on the bottom. When the kids lean back on it, the sides push out a little, but I'm not worried about them breaking. The weight limit is 80 pounds though, and it's probably wise to stick with that. Our kids love the wagon. It's easy to steer and relatively sturdy. It probably won't last as long as the old metal wagon I had as a child, but it'll do.
I put this together so it can't be that difficult as I'm not "mechanically inclined". I use it to haul things from garage or back yard to front. The only problem I have is the screw/nut/bolt will not stay in the steering mechanism. So will try to find a "stouter" assembly next time in Lowes. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
