  • Handy Little Gizmo
    Verified Purchase

I find this little gadget very handy to have in my purse. It gets a lot of use in everyday life and on camping trips. Love the little scissors and the little screwdriver gizmo. The knife falls within TSA regulations so I can carry it when I travel. Have carried one of these for the last 10 years. The earlier models did not have the light and magnifying glass. I was tempted to upgrade and do not regret it.

I purchased this for my son who had a similar tool confiscated at the airport...this may or may not make it through security! He loves it!

  • Flat Swiss Army Knife loved by gadget geeks
    Verified Purchase

The Sapphire is indeed a "flat Swiss Army Knife," minus a really useful blade. But, what does one expect in a "credit card" tool? This version, identifiable by the magnifying glass as well as model name, is apparently much better designed than the first credit card tool models produced by Victorinox. That said, the "letter opener" in the card (blade) is only useful for letter opening and maybe (with some difficulty) carving an apple. It is not a useful knife; however, the thumb size "screw-driver," magnifier, scissors, and other stuff are quite handy. It's nice to be able to remove the blade and scissors entirely, pack them in checked luggage, then be able to take the rest of the tool on a plane. Reassemble the thing when you arrive at your destination. The red "flashlight" is quite dim and we are still wondering how to replace its battery when the time comes! That said, it does illuminate a key hole and the red light does not adversely affect night vision. The "ruler" should also be in metric. No useful instructions come with the tool that arrives in an attractive, minimalist CD-like case. This item is pricey on the open market. Overstock.Com's price is fair, though xxxxxxxxxxx was blowing this item out before Xmas for a ridiculously cheap $xx with e-discount. Give this as a gift to gadget geeks and they will be thrilled. Or to a business person as a pocket tool. Campers who need a functional small knife will not be as pleased.

  • Lots of gizmos knife
    Verified Purchase

I bought this for my 14 year old grandson. He was impressed with how many different things the knife could do. I don't know how long all of the pieces will stay in tact, but he seemed pleased with all of the functions.
