This works great and isn't all that loud (I keep it in the garage). The instructions are very vague, so here are some tips. The water...put enough water in the tumbler to cover the rocks, etc., along with the grit. After a week of running for 24 hours, check your rocks for desired smoothness. When ready, clean the rocks (water) and clean the tumbler thoroughly. DO NOT do this in sinks, the grit will clog your drains, like cement was poured into them. Always put a slight amount of cooking oil around the inner cap and around the lip of the tumbler (the instructions for this come with your purchase). Repeat the water process with the rocks 2nd stage of grit. Wait a week, but tumble these 24 hours a day. Check the rocks for desired smoothness and repeat cleaning process, start all over with the next grit. The 4th step, the polish. Run for a week @ 24 hours. If you would like the rocks, etc., to be even shinier and better polished, clean out the tumbler and add about 1/4 cup of Ivory Bar Soap. You need to make the pieces shredded, like shredded cheese. Run until desired shine is achieved. Be patient, this process from start to finish, takes at least a month. Have fun and enjoy!
My twenty-one month old granddaughter literally jumped up and down for joy when she opened her gift of the Jenna doll. She loved the doll's eyes that opened and shut and cradled her like she was a real baby. My daughter in law said my granddaughter absolutely loves this doll.
