Have taken this tent for several camping events - cub scout can help pitch the tent and help pack it back up. It doesn't have a huge footprint although it is big at 7x8...no ground cloth, I use a 12x18 dropcloth (plastic impregnated on one side so waterproof & the price is right at hardware store, folding it to 7.5-8 x 12 it gives me a good footprint for a "porch" to enter and leave the tent. I'm 6'4" and my scout is now 50", neither of us can stand up in this tent but he could when we first purchased. Have edited this review to reflect the very poor rain-fly coverage & <1 season protection. (4/5 stars now). Thin, easy to see your silhouette through, easy to get distracted by others' flashlights outside since rainfly barely covers the center top of the tent. A good little tent if no rain. Each heavy downpour or half a day of misty rain will saturate every inch of the tent and the inside will have standing water. Size is great for 2 adults with gear, ridiculous to think this is more than a 2 adult tent if both adults are "normal" size. Even with waterproofing it gets saturated and "rains inside" when in a soaking rain - or worse! The price is right for cub scouting, the weight isn't an issue, but the flimsy barely water-repellant material needs careful waterproofing with silicone or old school (flammable) waterproofing compound. If rain fly were larger covering down to the "bathtub" floor and more water-proof rather than repellant, it might make for a pleasant camping experience. Easy to get replacement poles (broke one in 2nd year - 6th use), no zipper issues, everything works. This is a great warm weather & Dry weather tent. Not so good in soaking rains, terrible in freezing (30 degrees F) weather. You get what you pay for and you will need to water-proof each few months!
