I love the stain removing capabilities of the Tide To Go pen. I always have one in my purse and one in my son's diaper bag. It removes just about everything! I do agree with other reviews that the cap needs to screw on to ensure it stays on while being jostled around in a bag. But my main complaint about the item is that, after a while, it starts to smell foul. I have had a pen for a couple months now, and I used it this morning and it smells rotten. I used it on my son's favorite stuffed animal and now it smells rotten too! It still got the stain out but the smell is just foul! Has anyone else noticed this? I checked all my tide to go's ( I bought them all in a 3 pack) and they all smell gross now. Definitely wouldn't want to use these on the go, where I'd have to walk around with that smell on me!! GROSS!!
I've used these pens for a couple of years now, but it really proved itself last night. We were at a cocktail party and my fiance spilled *red wine* on my black and white dress. I used Tide-to-go and it's completely clean! Amazing!
My daughter got married in August of 2009. While the wedding party was outside shooting pictures the photographer noticed that the front of my daughters white wedding gown had little specks of yellow all over it. We finally figured out that it was pollen from the flowers. Needless to say my daughter was horrified and near tears. We tried, very carefully, all of the usual home remedy fixes by putting pollen on the back of her hem just in case we made anything worse. Nothing worked and we were running out of time. Fortunately at the last minute I remembered that I had a Tide to Go stick in my car. It worked perfectly and although it may sound silly, literally saved the day. By the time we got to the ceremony there was not a spot left. This is now a standard part of the wedding day story to everyone!
Before the wedding ceremony, the bridal party was having pictures taken in the gardens outside of the church. A small black bug landed on my Granddaughter's beautiful white wedding gown in a very visable place. When an attemp was made to chase the bug away, it left a half inch black circle on the lovely gown. Someone had a Tide to Go stain remover in their purse and it was quickly used on the bug spot and just like that the spot was gone! Tide to go saved the day!
