I use the Tide to go pen a lot, having 4 kids. But there have been a couple times I have been especially impressed with it. A few months ago while on a visit to grandma's house, the kids decided to go berry picking with grandma. One of my girls was wearing a khaki skirt and wiped her berry-juice-covered hands down the skirt.. I was amazed as I watched the dark purple stains disappear! Also, just this past week one of my other daughters ran into something at the park and ended up needing stitches on her forehead. As we were leaving the hospital and I was putting her coat back on her I realized there was still blood (now dried) down the front of light pink coat, I thought for sure it was ruined. But then remembered the Tide To Go pen in my purse.. after the To Go pen and a run through the washer, its good as new again! I love this thing!!
I've been using the Tide stick for a few years now. For most stains, it really does do a terrific job. lots of time even getting pen out of shirts! BUT..... beware of using it on a white shirt, then going out into the sun. IT WILL TURN YELLOW FOREVER! i've ruined many a shirt with this little stick, not knowing that the sun was the cause of the yellowing after using it (i just now read their disclaimer about wiping the area with a damp cloth.) my suggestion....just dont go in the sun if you're wearing a white shirt and use the stick. otherwise, its a pretty good tool if you're prone to drips and anything else that can get on your clothes!
I was at a store the day before 4th of July and had just started using my new purse which was a very expensive and a gift from my son. Someone had left a melted cherry ice on one of the end caps and it fell on me when I came around the corner. It went all over me and my brand new purse which was white canvas with yellow flowers! I tried immediately to get the stain out with wet-ones and kleenex. I thought this is never coming out! When I got home, I tried carpet spot cleaner, laundry spray stain remover and plain soap and water. I even put it in the sun, hoping the sun would lighten the stains. The large splatters of cherry were still there. Then I remembered my Tide to Go stick. I applied it to all the stains, and within a few minutes they were entirely, totally gone! I am so grateful. I never could have afforded to replace the purse! Thank you Tide to Go!
