Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. It arrived quickly (less than 3 weeks) and was very easy to assemble (10 mins). I had been using a similar machine @ *** and didn't want to spend the money to purchase 1 of their machines ($2000), this Sunpentown Vibratone works well... the platform is smaller than the *** and the intensity of the vibration is less, but for less that 1/4 of the cost of the *** I feel I got what I paid for. I think this is a 'starter' machine for me... if I see some results and actually continue to use it regularly, I may consider upgrading to a higher quaility machine, but for now I am happy with this one.

  • Basic CWBVT gets the job done

Rec'd the item within a few days. Was shipped directly from distributor here in CA. Easy to assemble even from the tiny pics in the manual except for 2 long screws (not so obvious). Contacted customer service at 800 number. They said it was a new model. They looked up the info. Called me back the next day and even sent me a huge pic of where the 2 long screws should go. Sun Penn Town is on fire as far as their customer service. I studied controlled whole body vibration therapy (CWBVT) before purchasing this item. The ideal device should pivot around 30 Hz (under load) as a kind of occupational therapy for seniors to help with strength and balance to prevent falls. My mother is a bit elderly and obese. She recently had a hospital stay for malignant otitis externa which weakened her strength and balance. I also wanted to get something in my price range. Of course, the ideal device is $1000's above and beyond my price range, so I found Sun Penn Town and the best deals at OverStock. This particular CWBVT device does the job. Although it doesn't pivot, the "elliptical motion" feels like going down a ski slope or riding a motor cycle. It feels like shifting gears going down the road on a motor cycle of sorts when it's in automatic mode. My mother says it gives her energy and vigor. After an hour on the treadmill, she gets on this device for 10 minutes as she changes her posture every minute. (The muscles are reacting to the vibration, so you have to treat it like an isometric exercise - you can't just stand there as some people believe.) 10 minutes later her aches and stiffness are gone and she has more energy to walk. Her recovery time is much faster and her fall risk has decreased dramatically. Oh yes, her weight is going down too - and she tells me that her bowel movements are regular now (yeah, I know, too much information.) Therefore, this device is totally worth it as long as you work it correctly. The noise is less than half that of a treadmill, but it does shake the house a bit depending on the frequency of the device and the way you hold it. Good luck, Healing Thoughts.
