They are OK, your can feel concrete dust fall on you when you work out with them but it stops after about 20 times of use. They where covered in concrete dust in the box.
I purchased this for my 4 year old after a week of bad weather. She was "jumping off the walls" so I decided to really let her jump. I do not fold it up because the stabilizing bar doesn't fold when attached. It is very stable and my daughter will jump very high without it tipping or moving. It is pretty large for our living room but it does it job safely. I will jump on it and it is stable for me also. I weigh about 130 lbs and I think it could easily hold a heavier person. One think, the cushion on the bar tore in half, but that is probably more to do with my daughter twisting it. The cushion still works fine so it is not that big of a deal.
All in all, they are a nice set of dumbbells. I wish I had known that they were going to ship in the manufacturer's beat-up, box....it ruined my son's birthday surprise when he saw them on the front porch.
I bought this for exercise. I weigh over 200 lbs and this gives me a low impact exercise and with the handle I don't have the fear of falling off. Actually the handle provides two benefits: it provides stablilization and it helps work the upper body by stretching your arms (and stomach muscles!) when you jump. I alternate this with the treadmill. I work on the treadmill for 45 minutes every other day and am working up to that on the trampoline. I cannot do 45 minutes on the tramp as it is a much mor vigorous activity and I tire more quickly on the trampoline. All in all, I love it and would suggest anyone to get one for the money!
