We chose the Cozy Truck for my daughter's second birthday. NO, I didn't want the pink one with eye lashes just because she is a girl. Both of my daughters, 2 and 6, can drive. Usually whoever isn't driving rides in the trunk. Haha! Our 6 year old is tall and it's not easy to get both legs through the door but she fits fine height wise and can scoot it around fine. Here's our pro/con list and how we came to our decision to purchase this toy. PROs: - Sturdy and can take rough play for years - Great for indoor AND outdoor play - Has a door that opens (some ride-on toys the child just climbs into without a door) - Has a SUPER COOL trunk! Probably my favorite feature. - The trunk acts like a seat for another kid, and thus far, it hasn't tipped over. - Truck horn feature - Bigger tires with ridges so we're hoping it would give more traction outside on grass - Sits higher and the roof is taller so my 6 year old daughter could get in. While I realize this is not for her age so much, all parents know your other kids WILL try to use it. I didn't need her crying every time she got stuck! CONs: - I hate the face. Why can't it look like a truck!? Not everything needs a face just because it's for a child! - The eyes of the face sit about 4 inches high, right in the front "windshield" so my 2 year old can't see! Annoying. She bumps into stuff and run things over a lot - The door is a little difficult to close - The trunk is VERY difficult to close, even for me. We found the sweet spot to push on that makes it easier but my 2 year old still gets frustrated. - THE FACE! It's just so in the way and unnecessary that it deserves to be on the con list multiple times. Overall, I would definitely recommend getting the Cozy Truck over the Cozy Coupe JUST for the trunk alone. All the other features are bonuses. And apparently you can leave off the eyes, but my husband couldn't bear to leave a piece off the finished product. Bleck. Oh! He assembled it in about 45 min, decals and all.
The kids love this thing. I have 5 grand-babies from 7 to 6 months. The oldest loves this thing to ride the little ones and the little ones love it because they can ride the big ones too.
My one year old grandbaby enjoys being pushed around and playing with the buttons. She also enjoys having a little compartment to put her toys in. She's not quite big enough or strong enough to push herself while riding. I had really hoped it would be a good toy to help her with learning to walk. When I take the push handle off she can walk behind and push it while on carpet but there are no real handles for that purpose and because of it's lightness, it moves way to easy for her to use on a hard surface floor. It is cute but not quite what I had in mind when I purchased it.
