I bought one of these magazines when I got my LCP about 3 years ago to carry as a spare. To be fair, the fit is great, and the magazine was more comfortable for me to shoot with than the factory magazine. If all you do is target shoot with it, I suppose it fits the bill just fine. However, I wager most people have an LCP to carry and depend on. I carry mine as a backup in an ankle holster on duty. The problem is there is a flaw with the floorplate. The plastic lips which hold it on are so thin and weak, a small impact to the side sends everything including the spring, 6 rounds of .380, and the follower all over the ground. The first time it happened (which was soon) I put the pieces away in a bag and carried the Ruger factory magazine for over a year without a problem. Prior to the LCP, I carried another auto in an ankle holster with zero issues for several years. I eventually contacted Promag, and they were kind enough to send me free of charge a new floorplate to replace the broken one and the other plastic piece which was lost when it was launched from the gun. I eagerly installed the new floorplate and went back to the Promag when it arrived. About 1 week later, a slight bump when exiting the patrol car and once again I'm out picking up .380 rounds and magazine parts from the middle of the street while on a call. Embarrassing to say the least. I'm going back to the factory magazine and will never be depending on this magazine again.Read More
