  • Totally worth the price!!

I was so nervous about buying such an expensive piece of equipment, but i was able to do enough research on os which helped me make a comfortably educated choice. What I wanted was a super gym-quality machine, well-buit and sturdy, having a built in fan and music station, intuitively user-friendly, with the option to collapse the machine for storage. Yay me...I've got it all!! Delivery was much faster than anticipated and assembly was moderately easy....lots of parts, but easy to locate and good directions for assembly. I looked up a 10% off coupon and joined club o, which got me about $50 back. Super deal...super quality! You won't be disappointed with this one!

  • High Quality Elliptical at a decent price

This is a very good elliptical machine. I was a little skeptical about spending so much money on a machine that I hadn't tried out, but this model is essentially the same as the Nordic-Track Audio Strider 990 Pro - they're both made by Icon Fitness, so i was able to try one of those out at a Sear's store beforehand. Set-up wasn't too difficult - the hardest part was getting all the pieces down to my basement by myself. It would have been easier with a second person, but I managed. Once I got the machine together, I had to tinker with the resistance wheel manually - resistance 1 felt like I was climbing a mountain. The manual has instructions on how to do this, but you'll need a socket set. I've been using the machine for almost a week and I'm still not sure that I have the resistance set perfectly, but I adjust it a little before each workout. There are quite a few pre-programmed workouts and even more if you subscribe to iFit Live. The workout that I always use at a gym (alternating for four minutes each between level two and level 8, or something similar) was not there, but I can always mimic that by adjusting the resistance myself. Also, the adjustable stride length is a little misleading. In order to change the stride length to something higher than 18", it also changes the incline. The range varies between 18" at 10% incline to 20" at 30% incline. This doesn't bother me too much, as I'm 5'7, but it might be annoying for someone that is very tall and needs a longer stride, but doesn't necessarily want the higher incline. The normal overstock price is really only a savings of about 20 dollars, compared to what you would pay at other retailers, but if you wait for one of the 10% off coupons, it becomes a FANTASTIC deal. Also, I realized after ordering mine that I should have joined Club O before buying it, since the 5% that I would have gotten back from the cost of the elliptical would far exceed the membership cost for a year.
