it needs to have more drain holes in the steps, when I put it in my pool because of the lack of holes it would not go to the bottom of the pool. we had to add holes in the frame and steps to let air out and water in. we had the same problen when we took it out trying to dain the water out of the frame.
Sturdy steps, well built, perfect assembly directions. Long shafted (necessity) screwdriver and extra screws provided. Mat provides ample pool liner protection. Hand rail seems sufficient, will see how it hold up to kids. Either way replacement PVC pipe is easily obtainable.. The only other item that would make it perfect is a wedge interface between the flat bottom of the step structure and the slanted decline of the pool bottom from the side of the pool to the center of the pool. If you have a perfectly flat pool base the steps will sit level and all is fine. If your pool was designed to be lower in the middle (to provide more depth) the a wedge is necessary to keep the steps level. I used masonry block, and am not too concerned because the mat should protect the pool liner. But would be a MORE satisfied customer if there was some type of hard rubber wide wedge that could be placed under the steps.
