I love my solar heater. Only thing was I had to buy 2 boxes to heat my size pool (14,000 gallons). I wish they had had the box with 4 panels instead of 2. I was reading under questions and answers something about the box coming with a solar blanket. It does not come with the blanket. It is strictly the panels and clasps. I also bought the roof kit. It worked perfectly when installing the panels. Both were much cheaper than elsewhere. My Florida pool is more like a hot tub now.
This is my 2nd foray into solar pool heating. I bought a similar heater (different brand) summer 2011. When I went to hook it up this spring, one of the connectors broke! Since it is an odd configuration, I could not find any plumbing parts that could repair it, so i ended jerry-rigging it with various parts to get through the season. That made that heater functional, but it did leak, as i couldn't tighten down the connection appropriately. This fall, I bought the Sunheater to extend my swimming time; I am very pleased! The included (standard!) connections worked great; no leaks. My only criticism is that I have an 18' round pool, and while the documentation indicated that one heater would be enough, I think I really needed 2, as the increase in temperature was negligible. I will be ordering a second unit for use in the spring, and it looks like connecting the 2 together will be a breeze!
I purchase this solar blanket for a friend after I purchased mine. She is very pleased with it because it keeps the pool temperature warmer and it is also a pool protector from dirt and leaves.
