The product was exactly as described (length x width). The hem of the cover was frayed with several long, random plastic strips. Not a big deal; I just cut them off so they weren't hanging. The cover has been on the pool for about 3 weeks and seems to be working fine- allowing the water to filter through but keeping debris on top. We will see how it is after the winter season. The warranty isn't that special, its prorated for the number of years and is not valid if you don't secure the cover exactly as they direct. So, it just covers the pool. It seems to be doing that job okay so far!
This cover is made the way it is supposed to be. It fits with plenty of room for the cover to sit on the top of the water and still go over the rail and come down to tighten the cable. I highly recommend this cover.
so far so good. Just put it on didn't use a pillow or tubes with it. Just be sure to order it extra big so when water or snow builds up it won't pull it off the top. You want it big enough to lay flat against the water and the WALLS if it does not touch both you will need pool pillows to prevent it from pulling off
I just put this cover on this year for the first time. Everybody complains these covers don't last long and I don't expect this one to be any different - UV and snow/ice will deteriorate anything left outside in a CT winter in a few years. But it was very cost-effective and even if I get a few years out of it, I'll be happy. Interestingly, this cover comes with a warranty that provides a pro-rated refund if it breaks down within 8 years. I like that. This "mesh" is pretty dense. Water does pass through it but very slowly, and it was a little tricky getting on when I had one end stuck under water. You can't "lift" it up and have the water pass through. The instructions say a little water on top is expected/good - it holds the cover down in the wind. I had the best luck in the end having the cover folded in half, width-wise. I covered half the pool, then opened the other half to cover the rest. This kept the end from going underneath the water and getting dragged down.
